Every Tuesday, readers can find free serialized fiction via the Tuesday Serial website. Authors post links to their new and ongoing series using the site’s collector, and the following day a report is generated which links to each story. Most installments range about 1,000 words, so readers can whet their appetites and decide which narratives they want to follow. What better way to start the New Year off right than reading free fiction every week?
In addition to the stories themselves, there are occasional articles on the craft of writing or how to break into the publishing business. Authors participating in the community post links to their stories using the #TuesdaySerial hashtag on Twitter, and the community also has a FaceBook page. As the community’s newest member, I’ve began serializing my own fiction. If anyone is interested, my new series, Pinholes: Traveling through the Curtain of the Night, can be followed through my own website as well as the Tuesday Serial site.
So why not indulge yourself with a little free fiction? You just might find your favorite new addiction.
