In episode 321 of the Functional Nerds Podcast, recorded roughly one year from the day SFSignal.com closed up shop, John and Patrick remember how the site, and in particular its front man and resident blogger John DeNardo, impacted their lives and this show – the Functional Nerds. They also talk about the future, conventions, Patrick’s writing, John’s music, and so much more. Really, you should just stop reading this and click the play button already. In fact, we’re kinda surprised you haven’t already clicked it. I mean, come on – this is a really good show, and very heartfelt. We were all choked up recording and editing it. Are you still reading this?! OMG! CLICK PLAY ALREADY!

“Almost 10 years..”
Well…actually 12 years and 10 months, but who’s counting? 😉
Thanks for all the kind sentiments! Don’t forget: Both of you were a huge part of the site’s success, for which I am very grateful. Bagels for both of you!
Hi guys!
If you’re interested in streaming video, you should check into MIXER.COM (used to be BEAM.PRO), a Twitch competitor. They offer a very low latency (<20ms) streaming option using Open Broadcasting's FTL protocol. That's almost real time, it's "live" and with a Discord server or something similar you can chat with people. It's pretty cool. That could be a higher tier thing.
Also, the feels…
I haven’t listened to the episode yet. But I really enjoyed SF Signal. I’d love to see it come back in some form, even though I completely understand why it stopped. It must have been exhausting to do it day after day. Still, enough time has passed so some worthy people can take it up again. People who can be counted on to deliver an awesome podcast on a regular basis.
Know anyone? 🙂
