This week’s picks:
In episode 249 of the Functional Nerds Podcast, Patrick Hester and John Anealio chat for a bit, then segue into Patrick’s interview with Tina Connolly at the 74th WorldCon.
About Tina:

Her narrations have appeared in audiobooks and podcasts including Podcastle, Pseudopod, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, John Joseph Adams’ The End is Nigh series, and more. She runs the Parsec-winning flash fiction podcast Toasted Cake.
She is a graduate of the speculative fiction writing workshopClarion West and the CSSF Novel Workshop with Kij Johnson. She has taught at the Cascade Writers Workshop and the Willamette Writers Conference. She recommends all those.
She grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, but now lives with her family in Portland, Oregon, in an old house on a hill that came with a dragon in the basement and blackberry vines in the attic. She used to do a lot of theatre, but these days she writes plays to get her fix. Sometimes in the summers she works as a face painter, which means a glitter-filled house is an occupational hazard.
She likes pie. She really likes it for breakfast.
