John nailed it when he said he thought Patrick was going to end his story with the pretty girl joining their d&d game, especially after all the other twists in his story. I was waiting for the same revelation. Same with Myke saying he wasn't going to be able to talk as fast as John and Patrick, I was wondering how he was going to followup that intro. He did a hilarious job.

Great show, guys. I really like the residency guest program you started, it really adds to the show.

I've been gaming since 1983, and only took a two-year break from it because of moving around the nation a few times and finding it hard to discover a quality group to game with. Other than 1996-1997, I've been gaming at least once a week for 30 years.

I loved this episode with Myke, Patrick and John! It's great to hear how role playing has changed other peoples' lives for the better.

As far as GMing goes, I usually GM, but I've done my fair share of playing. Honestly, I feel everyone should GM at least once. It'll give players a better appreciation for the game (and their GMs) through that experience.

Keep up the great work, guys!

"stuck with GMing"

Mmm. I learned early that if I was going to get roleplaying, I was going to have to do my share of GMing. So I learned to GM early, and GM more than I play in nearly every system I have participated in. I can think of one major exception, and that is Apocalypse World.

As far as D&D changing my life, I went the opposite from Myke. I saw D&D and instead of imagining myself as tougher paladins than myself, I imagined my intelligence being useful in a fantasy environment. So lots of sorcerers, wizards and clerics. (and, oddly, a Ranger) are in my PC canon.
