Fun interview! But I did have one thought: When you have a musician for a guest, maybe drop in some song excerpts during the interview, or maybe play something over the closing, just to give us a sample?

Thanks Matthew! Appreciate the kind words. We actually spoke about freemium models in the upcoming episode.

We'll have to discuss doing some sort of paid bonus content at some point.

Thanks for the suggestion!

It's interesting that you joked about making charging for the Podcast. I think that would be excellent. Not giving up the free Podcast, mind you but do a show, cut out a major block, or save some segments for an extended version.

Seriously. Have the regular Functional Nerds and then a Fully Functional Nerds that people can subscribe to. I think you'd be surprised at the number of people who would.

In the software they call this the Freemium model, and it's proven a great model getting for customers. I'd be happy pay (what little I can afford) for your content. The show is great. It's well produced and reliably publishes every week. It's hard to find a more professional podcast. Trust me I've looked.
