Episode 056 – Peter Orullian
In the 56th episode of the Parsec nominated (SQUEEEE!) Functional Nerds, Patrick Hester and John Anealio sit down to chat with TOR author and musician Peter Orullian. Peter also has a pretty nifty dayjob working for the folks over at XBOX, so we had a lot of fun chatting with about such diverse topics as: TOR, epic fantasy, book series, tropes, The Unremembered, writing, music, moral ambiguity in characters, Microsoft XBOX, progressive rock, the concept album and vocalization.

Patrick Hester is a writer, blogger, podcasting dude, Denver transplant and all around Functional Nerd. ...don't hate him cuz he has a cool hat. His Blog | His Twitter | His Facebook
I enjoyed this interview. I enjoyed it enough that I feel guilty for not enjoying Peter’s book more than I did. From music (including prog rock, awesome!) to writing, this was a wide-ranging interview, well done.
The other Transmedia stuff that I am reminded of is the Kevin J Anderson Terra Incognita stuff…
I finally got a chance to listen to the podcast. Generally I’m not a fan of fantasy, but I liked what Peter had to say. I think I will check it out.
On the music side, I was excited to hear what Pete had to say about music and singers, etc. He named all of my favorites. I’m very interested to hear the album he puts out that is related to this book.
And, of course, good job Patrick and John. Nice episode.
I have to run to work, but I just wanted to say: Awesome episode. And how much do I wish I could be that Video Game Nerd. Grr…cursed 24 hour day limit. I need 30 hours (minimum).
